Artist’s Notes:
Thinking about what symbolizes achievement, most of us think of stars, probably because we earned a few in grade school. When we become adults I think we have to reach for our stars; they are not given to us anymore. This award captures that moment when a person actually reaches for the stars and holds them in their hand. It might be for a just a moment or for all time.
